Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Walk to Cure Diabetes Saturday, October 24, 2009
9:00 am at Wake Forest University
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was founded in 1970 by parents of children with diabetes. Their mission: to find a cure for the disease and its complications through the support of research.
Allegacy initiates many fundraising activities, in addition to participating in the annual 3.5 mile walk at Wake Forest University. Each year we sell JDRF "sneakers" in an effort to raise money for JDRF research. Our individual teams hold fundraisers such as bake, hotdog, pizza, ice cream and candy bar sales plus we have an internal intranet auction!
As of November 2, Allegacy has raised $17,971 and surpassed our goal of $15,000. If you would like to sign up to walk or donate to a walker, visit the Walk to Cure Diabetes website. You can also stop by your local Allegacy Financial Center or contact Member Services at 336.774.3400 / 800.782.4670 to make a donation.
